What are skateboard axle nuts?

Axle nuts secure your wheels onto the truck axles. They are usually lock nuts with a nylon insert that stops them vibrating loose while you skate.

How tight should axle nuts be?

Tighten until the wheel is secure but still spins freely with a little side play. Too tight slows the wheel, too loose risks it coming off.

When should I replace axle nuts?

Replace them if the nylon lock wears out and they no longer stay tight. Keep spares with your bolts and hardware.
