Schmitt Stix

Schmitt Stix was a deck company started by Paul Schmitt in the early 1980s. Being an expert craftsman, Schmitt furthered innovations in rail shape, deck shapes, concave, and more. In 1985, Schmitt moved Schmitt Stix from Florida to California and entered into a licensing agreement with Vision where he'd receive a royalty of sales. But by 1990, not owning the rights to his own company began to wear on Schmitt, at which point he left the company with Andy Howell and Steve Douglas to start New Deal Skateboards.
