What is skateboard griptape?

Griptape is the rough, sandpaper-like sheet applied to the top of your deck. It gives your shoes traction so you can control the board, pop tricks and keep your feet planted.

How often should I replace my griptape?

Replace it when it wears smooth, peels at the edges or stops gripping. Heavy skaters may replace grip every few months, others much less often.

What is the difference between graphic and clear griptape?

Clear griptape lets your deck graphic show through, while graphic grip has its own printed design. Both grip the same, so it comes down to looks.

How do I apply griptape?

Lay it over your deck, press it down, score the edges with a file and trim with a blade. Pair fresh grip with a new deck for a clean setup.
