Founded in 2011 by Japanese skater Katsumi Minami, Evisen Skateboards hopes to put some shine on Japanese cities beyond Tokyo with thriving skate scenes, like Sendai and Osaka. Mixing modern graphics with ancient Japanese motifs, there's also a cheeky appeal added through icons like an embroidered sushi roll with chopsticks. Beyond the expected hoodies, tees, and caps, Evisen also makes pieces like all-over print camp shirts and lightweight military jackets. The Evisen team includes Akira Imamura, MARU, Shinpei Ueno, and Minami himself, and their boards are made in the USA.
